How to Organize and Prepare Your Home for Fall

We know the weather will slowly be getting cooler and apple harvest time in Loudoun County is approaching. Although you may not be ready to see the end of the warm days, Summer 2017 is coming to an end. While it is still warm, there are several steps that you could take now while it’s still warm to prepare your home for the change in seasons.

Every season change is an excellent time to deep clean, declutter and organize your home. It is a built-in reminder to go through the belongings that you haven’t used recently, and also to put away items that you won’t use until next year. Additionally, spending a few hours to reorganize your home will make the transition to school schedules easier and less stressful.

Here’s a great place to start! Take a look at The Nest’s list of five chores to complete before fall arrives. They recommend prepping outdoor areas like your garage, backyard, and garden, and organizing areas like your home office and kitchen that will see different uses with the colder weather. You can read their organization and cleaning tips here.
